NOTE: Inside the substation's active power area itself, we recommend the electric Spider Electric 2.0 or Raymo (eliminates fire risk). The SL is suitable only for outer perimeters — its niche is sections with low-hanging cables and piping that the standard 2.0 cannot pass under.
Situation
A large substation with an extensive outer perimeter. Part of the area runs beneath low-installed cable trays, pipe bridges and technical structures — places standard equipment cannot reach.
Problème
Substation outer perimeter areas often cross low-hanging infrastructure. The standard machine (92 cm) has to go around these sections, leaving manual brush cutters to finish the rest — double the work, double the cost.
SOLUTION
For the outer perimeter with low-hanging infrastructure — the only combustion machine that fits under cable trays.
The Spider Autonomous 2.0 SL covers the substation's outer perimeter, including sections under low-hanging cables and piping (from 75 cm). Where the standard 2.0 has to go around, the SL passes through — one mission, complete coverage, no manual finishing work.
INSIDE the active power area, where fire risk from the engine is a concern, we do NOT recommend deploying the SL or any other combustion machine. For these critical zones, choose the Spider Electric 2.0 or Raymo. A common combination: standard 2.0 / SL on the outer perimeter with low infrastructure, Spider Electric 2.0 inside.
Why choose the Spider Autonomous 2.0 SL?
-
Outer perimeter including sections under cable trays and piping (from 75 cm)
-
Eliminates manual finishing work under low infrastructure
-
Operator stays outside the hazard zone, geofencing in Mission Planner
-
NOTE: for areas inside safety zones, choose Spider Electric 2.0 / Raymo without exception
Does low-hanging infrastructure cross your perimeter? The SL goes where the standard machine stops.
