Airports & airside grassed areas
-
Suitable for large airports — the same productivity and refueling as the standard 2.0, plus it fits under low structures (approach lighting, antenna systems). If the site has no low clearances, the standard 2.0 is an equally good choice. For airports near residential areas, consider the quiet Spider Electric 2.0.
Situation
A medium-sized airport with an extensive grassed perimeter. Specific feature: approach lighting systems, antenna arrays and navigation systems on low structures, under which the grass must be maintained — and which the standard machine cannot pass under.
Problème
Grassed areas around approach lights and antennas are currently mowed manually — slow, expensive, and with risky movement of people in the protection zones of navigation systems. Large areas also demand a productivity level manual labor can't deliver.
SOLUTION
The whole perimeter, including areas under lights and antennas. One night shift, refueling on the go.
The Spider Autonomous 2.0 SL combines 8,500 m²/h productivity with the ability to pass under low structures (from 75 cm) — covering the standard perimeter as well as areas under approach lights and antenna systems in a single mission. Refueling means uninterrupted night operation. The Automowing Portal generates compliance reports for aviation authorities.
If the airport has no low structures, the standard Spider Autonomous 2.0 offers the same performance. For small airports in residential areas where night noise is an issue, choose the Spider Electric 2.0 (quiet, zero-emission).

Why choose the Spider Autonomous 2.0 SL?
-
Fits under approach lights, antennas and low navigation infrastructure
-
Refueling = unlimited night operation across large perimeters
-
Eliminates manual mowing in navigation system protection zones
-
Automatic compliance reporting for aviation authorities
-
For airports in sensitive built-up areas, consider the quiet Spider Electric 2.0
Mowing by hand around approach lights? The SL handles it autonomously in one mission with the whole perimeter.
